What the Polaris ERA 820 does well
60-Foot Cable with Tangle-Reducing Swivel: The 60-foot cable provides uninterrupted cleaning across pools up to 50 feet, featuring a low-torque, watertight swivel to prevent cord entanglements and ensure comprehensive coverage from floors to walls.
Simple Plug-and-Play Operation: Just plug it in, press start, and let it clean your floor and walls in 2.5 hours! With its powerful suction and scrubbing action, your pool will be swim-ready in no time.
Premium Transport Caddy and Cover: Move and protect your cleaner with the included transport caddy and protective cover, shielding it from the elements to extend its lifespan and maintain top performance.
Cyclonic Vacuum Technology: Rid your pool of dirt and debris with powerful cyclonic cleaning action that sustains suction and enhances wall climbing on any pool surface.
Large 4-Liter Debris Canister: The large-capacity canister allows for longer, uninterrupted cleaning sessions and features an easy-access design for quick emptying — simply remove, shake, and spray.
Polaris: For more than 50 years, Polaris has been known worldwide for its quality and best-in-class automatic pool cleaners.
The ERA 820 is the ERA 842 with the smart features removed and the price cut accordingly. Same cyclonic vacuum, same caddy and cover, same 2.5-hour cycle — you give up app scheduling and get a button instead.
Deliberately simple
Plug it in, press start, come back in 2.5 hours. For a lot of pool owners that's the entire feature set they'll ever use, and skipping the app means there's no account, no firmware update, and no Wi-Fi range problem at the far end of the yard.
The cable and swivel
60 ft covers pools up to 50 ft with slack to spare. The swivel is low-torque and watertight, which is what keeps the cable from corkscrewing itself into a knot over repeated cycles — a genuine weak point on cheaper corded robots.
Capacity
The 4-litre canister is generous for this price band. Combined with cyclonic separation, it means a leafy pool doesn't choke the machine halfway through a cycle.
