The 9550 Sport is the long-running large-pool Polaris. Its 60 ft rating and 70 ft cable put it ahead of most robots in this price band on reach alone, and four-wheel drive gives it the traction to actually finish the walls on a big vessel.

Four-wheel drive

4WD isn't marketing here — on a 60 ft pool with a deep end, a two-wheel robot spends a meaningful share of its cycle slipping on the transition from floor to wall. Driving all four wheels keeps it moving through that transition and up onto the tile.

Vortex Vacuum

Polaris's vortex system keeps captured debris suspended in the canister rather than letting it settle and compact against the filter. That preserves suction across a long cycle, which matters most on exactly the large pools this model targets.

Remote control

The motion-sensing remote lets you tilt to steer — useful for sending it straight at a pile of leaves in a corner instead of waiting for the pattern to reach it.
