After every cycle
- Rinse the filter. Remove the basket or cartridge and hose it out. Clean filters mean strong suction — a clogged filter is the #1 cause of weak cleaning.
- Remove the robot from the water. Don't leave it submerged between cleanings.
- Rinse the robot with fresh water occasionally, especially in saltwater pools.
Filter care
For standard cartridges, rinse thoroughly and deep-clean with a filter cleaner every few weeks. For NanoFilters, spray from the inside out to push debris off the pleats. Replace filters when they no longer come clean.
Cable and storage
Coil the cable loosely to prevent kinks, and let any twist out periodically (an anti-tangle swivel helps). Store the robot and power supply on a caddy, out of direct sunlight, in a shaded or indoor spot.
Brushes and tracks
Brushes and tracks are wear items. Inspect them a couple of times a season and replace when worn — especially on abrasive surfaces like Pebble Tec and gunite.
Off-season storage
Before winter, clean the filter and robot thoroughly, dry it, coil the cable, and store the whole system indoors. Never store a robot wet or in freezing conditions.
