No More Tangled Cords
Every turn a robot makes puts a twist in its cable. Over a full cycle that's hundreds of twists — without relief, the cable knots, shortens its reach, and the robot stalls mid-pool. An anti-tangle swivel lets the cable rotate freely at the connection point, shedding twists as they form. It's a hallmark of the ProLine™ lineup and the main reason corded robots no longer deserve their tangled reputation.
As one of the largest authorized dealers and retailers of robotic pool cleaners online, we've hand-tested 70+ robots across every major brand — every recommendation below comes from real poolside experience, and every unit we sell is factory-direct with a full manufacturer warranty.
Models with a Swivel Cable
The Quantum, Premier, and Sigma all include anti-tangle swivels, as do the Clear UV and Clear S on their 59-ft cables. On large pools — where cables are longest and turns most numerous — the swivel goes from nice-to-have to essential. See our no-tangle picks.
Cable Care Tips
- Uncoil the full cable before each cycle; leave no loops on deck.
- Store loosely coiled on a caddy out of the sun.
- Straighten the cable along the deck occasionally to release residual memory.
