True Automation
Without a timer, you walk outside to start the robot every time — and most owners quietly stop doing it. A weekly smart timer lets you press one button and the robot cleans every day, every other day, or every third day automatically. In our experience this single feature is the difference between a pool that's always clean and a robot that lives in the garage. It's also the backbone of every prevention strategy we recommend, from algae control to pollen season.
As one of the largest authorized dealers and retailers of robotic pool cleaners online, we've hand-tested 70+ robots across every major brand — every recommendation below comes from real poolside experience, and every unit we sell is factory-direct with a full manufacturer warranty.
Models with a Timer
The Cayman, Quantum, and Premier include the timer in the power supply. The Sigma schedules from the myDolphin Plus™ app — even more flexible. The Clear UV and Clear S include both a weekly timer and full app scheduling. The Escape offers the timer as a $99 upgrade for above-ground pools.
How to Set Your Schedule
- Daily: leaf season, pollen season, dusty climates, or pools with swimming dogs.
- Every other day: the year-round default for most pools.
- Every third day: covered or screened pools with light debris.
