The DX1 is the base of the Proteus range: no app, no wall climbing, no waterline scrubbing. What it is, is 14.6 lb and completely uncomplicated — the lightest Dolphin here by a clear margin.
Weight and simplicity
Robot cleaners get abandoned in the shed over handling, not cleaning. At 14.6 lb this one doesn't have that problem, and with no app there's nothing to set up, log into, or update.
Smart Navigation
Even at this level it scans the pool and calculates a route rather than bouncing randomly. That's the Maytronics baseline and it's the reason a cheap Dolphin still covers a pool properly.
What you give up
Floor cleaning only. If you need walls or the waterline, step up to the Proteus DX4 Plus or DX5i — or look at the Dolphin E10 and Cayman in our own range.
