The EON 100 is Maytronics' cordless entry in the Nautilus family, and the coverage spec is unusually broad for a battery robot: floors, walls, waterline, steps and sun ledges all in one 2.5-hour cycle.
Steps and sun ledges on a cordless robot
Shallow shelves are difficult for any cleaner and especially for a battery one, because recovering from a stall costs power it can't spare. Maytronics specifying the EON 100 for steps and ledges is a real claim, and it's the main thing that separates it from cheaper cordless machines.
Runtime
2.5 hours per charge is enough for a full pass on a 50 ft pool, but leaves no margin. If yours is at the top of that range and heavily soiled, expect to run it twice.
Worth knowing before you buy
