The Explorer E40 fills the gap between the E30 and E50 in Maytronics' range. Its distinguishing feature is Dual Drive — independently driven tracks that let it pivot rather than arc, which is what gets a robot into tight corners and around obstacles.
Dual Drive and why shape matters
A single-drive robot turns in an arc. On a rectangle that's fine; on a kidney, a freeform or anything with a swim-out, arcing means repeatedly missing the same inside corners. Dual Drive lets the E40 pivot on the spot, so it can address awkward geometry directly.
Waterline
Constant wall grip gives the brush proper contact time across the tile band — the same mechanism as on the DX5i and Advantage Ultra.
